Jump Junction – Conditions of Hire
Thank you for choosing Jump Junction! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please read and adhere to the following terms and conditions. By accepting delivery of the inflatable, the hirer agrees to the conditions outlined below and accepts full responsibility for the safe use and supervision of the equipment.
1. Setup Requirements
- The inflatable must be set up on a flat, grass surface. Please ensure the area is clear of all stones, sharp objects, or debris prior to setup.
- A suitable and safe power point must be available on-site. Please provide an extension cord long enough to reach the setup area.
- Jump Junction will not be held liable for any electrical faults, power outages, or damage caused to the client’s electrical supply, plug points, or extension cords.
- It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure all electrical connections are safe and functional before setup begins.
2. Supervision & Safety
- A responsible adult must supervise children at all times while the inflatable is in use.
- Only children under the age of 12 are allowed on the inflatables, except for the Gladiator Slide and Waterslides, which may accommodate older children.
- No one is allowed on the inflatable during inflation or deflation. This is extremely dangerous and may result in injury.
- Children must not play near the motor, tamper with electrical equipment, or hang over the sides of the inflatable.
- Jump Junction will not be held responsible for any injuries caused by children inserting fingers or objects into electrical outlets, motors, or other equipment. Adult supervision is essential at all times.
3. Prohibited Items
For safety and care of the inflatable, the following are strictly not allowed on or near the equipment:
- Shoes, food, drinks, sharp objects
- Smoking or open flames
- Face paints, streamers, pens (biro or felt-tip), party poppers, silly string, Spiderman spray, or any items that may stain or damage the vinyl
- No pets or animals are allowed on or near the inflatables or waterslides under any circumstances
4. Weather Conditions
- In the event of strong winds or stormy weather, the inflatable must be immediately deflated for safety.
- If it begins to rain, switch off and cover the motor, or move the motor indoors if possible.
5. Water Slides & Overnight Hire
- When hiring waterslides, it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the motor and blower remain dry at all times.
- Prior to collection, deflate the item, empty as much water as possible, then re-inflate briefly to allow it to dry.
- If hiring overnight:
- Ensure pets are kept away from the inflatable.
- Pack away or secure the inflatable in a safe, dry location when not in use.
- Do not leave hose pipes running when the motor is switched off.
- The Gladiator Slide must be moved away from pools when not in use.
6. Ball Pond Hire
- Balls can be hired for use in ponds or pools at R300 per black bag (± 200 balls).
- A R3.00 charge per lost ball will apply. Please count and bag all balls before collection.
7. Damages, Liability & Usage Time
- The hirer is responsible for the proper care and usage of all equipment. Any damage caused due to misuse or negligence will be charged to the hirer.
- If damages are found within seven (7) days of the booking, the customer will be held liable for the full cost of repairs.
- Jump Junction will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to any person or property during the hire period.
- While we aim to provide maximum usage time, full-day hire is not guaranteed as it depends on delivery and collection routes.
